National Criminal Law Program Registration is Open!

 

 

Registration for the 39th National Criminal Law Program is now open. Presented by the Federation of Law Societies of Canada, the NCLP is Canada’s premier CLE and networking conference for the criminal bar. Join over 650 Crowns, defence counsel and judges for Evidence, Ethics, and the Administration of Justice, taking place from July 9 – 13, 2012 in spectacular Victoria, British Columbia.

Surrogate Forms

 

 

It is expected that the new Wills & Succession Act will be proclaimed February 1, 2012. This will impact the Surrogate Rules and Forms. The Chief Justice and Associate Chief Justice, Court of Queen’s Bench have issued a Notice to the Profession concerning the amendments to the Surrogate Rules and Forms, and a grace period to April 30, 2012, to allow the profession to adapt to these amendments. Click here for a copy of that Notice to the Profession. LESA is working closely with senior officials in Alberta Justice and the Attorney-General to provide the profession in Alberta with timely and accurate access to the new Surrogate Forms. Details will be posted when available.
