Meet the Instructors
Bob Stenhouse is the founder and CEO of Veritas Solutions, one of Canada’s leading firms in workplace and administrative investigations and training. With more than forty years of investigative experience, Bob has conducted and overseen thousands of files across criminal, human rights, corporate, and workplace domains.
For two decades, Bob specialized in complex criminal investigations, successfully working organized crime, biker gang, and homicide cases with the RCMP. He later transitioned into human rights and workplace investigations, and went on to establish and lead the Corporate Investigations Unit at Alberta Health Services—Canada’s largest health authority—for ten years.
Widely regarded as an international expert in workplace and administrative investigations, Bob has trained thousands of HR and related professionals through the highly regarded Workplace Investigations Training program, delivered in partnership with the Chartered Professionals in Human Resources associations across Western Canada.
Bob is the 2025 Workplace Investigator of the Year (Silver) recipient from HR Law Canada and the author of the Amazon bestselling book Truth Matters: A Guide to Conducting Successful Workplace & Other Administrative Investigations. He is a dedicated speaker and trainer with a career-long commitment to advancing investigative excellence.
Lauren Hanon is a lawyer with extensive experience across government, family law, and general litigation. As the Director of Quality Assurance at Veritas Solutions, she oversees hundreds of investigation reports each year and ensures the firm’s standards of accuracy, clarity, and procedural fairness are consistently met.
Lauren is also a senior investigator, trusted with the firm’s highest-risk and most complex files. She has pioneered and delivered specialized training on conducting sexual grooming investigations, including webinars and a full-day course attended by professionals across the sport, education, and non-profit sectors.
In her four years with Veritas Solutions, Lauren has conducted, reviewed, and provided expert guidance on hundreds of workplace and regulatory investigations, bringing a rigorous, trauma-informed, and legally grounded approach to every file.
About This Program
This two-day program will expand on established investigation principles. Working through a case study, the course will culminate in participants applying principles in mock investigation interviews, where they will assess credibility and come to legally defensible findings on the allegations.
