This short paper describes some fundamental ways to attract and retain good people in a law firm.  Pointers relate to issues like the questions to be asked in an interview, the appropriate number of interviews involved in the hiring process, timing in making an offer. The author also provides tips for after hiring, including how to create an environment of inclusion and accommodation and how to foster good communication.
