Changes to the jury selection process in 2019 to remove the ability to challenge jurors peremptorily have significantly increased the number of individuals seeking to challenge jurors for cause. The Challenge for Cause process requires an application by the accused, supported by evidence. This presentation equips you with the factors which you should be live to when considering the selection of your jury, precedents for applications and supporting affidavits, and pointers about how to draft questions to best support elimination of problematic jurors.

Firm Broadcast License
A firm broadcast license allows firms or organizations to purchase an on-demand program for viewing as a group at a significantly discounted per person fee. Firm broadcast licenses are purchased by a facilitator who will receive access and is granted permission to broadcast the on-demand program for the pre-selected number of viewers. The facilitator may download and distribute program materials to viewers. For additional information on how to be a facilitator, click here.
The on-demand program must be viewed by all viewers in the same location and at the same time. Access to the on-demand program (recording(s) and materials) will be available on the facilitator’s LESA.org account for one month after purchase.
