The Role of a Legal Assistant
This paper discusses how to develop good work habits to become a more efficient and effective legal assistant. It provides strategies to excel as a legal assistant relating to attention to detail, file review, and other considerations. It also provides tips for diarizing and filing, managing emails, entering time, and handling disclosure. Additionally, it suggests best practices for retainers, billing, and collecting money from clients. The paper includes sample documents relating to email inbox organization, financial disclosure, matrimonial property statements, special chambers booking, client bills, and accounting letters to clients.
