About This Program
With the courts under increasing strain, litigants are increasingly turning to private resolution options. This comes with opportunities and potential traps for lawyers navigating litigation matters. Develop and enhance the skills you need to successfully guide your clients through arbitrated proceedings and/or build your practice as an arbitrator.
Topics will include:
- Key provisions of the Arbitration Act
- Fair hearings
- Interim motions
- Evidence
- Considerations when drafting an award
- Issues that can arise after an award is issued
Please note that while the examples/case studies to be discussed in this program will be family law related, the principles discussed apply to arbitration in other legal contexts and practice areas.
