Payment

Credit card payment (VISA or Mastercard) is required for all purchases made through our website. Invoices for the purpose of paying by cheque or e-transfer may be issued upon written request and at the discretion of LESA staff but will not be issued for purchases totaling less than $2,500. Billing policies for LESA Library subscriptions can be found here.

Full payment is required for access to all programs and resources. You will not be permitted to attend a program and will not receive program materials until payment has been received. Full payment is also required to access the LESA Library, on-demand programs, and online courses or for a publication to be shipped to a new subscriber. Subscribers to our Practice Manuals will automatically receive the update, invoiced at time of receipt.

LESA offers a limited number of bursaries based on financial need as well as distance bursaries for select programs. Contact us at [email protected] for additional details.

Programs

Program formats and dates are subject to change. Program materials are provided in an electronic format and can be accessed via a link emailed to registrants prior to the program. To ensure continual access to your program materials, please download and save PDF(s) to your system upon receipt.

Registration fees for a livestream, webinar, or on-demand program are for a single attendee only. Individuals not registered for a livestream, webinar, or on-demand program are not permitted to view the program or access the materials. If multiple lawyers or staff members from your firm wish to view a livestream, webinar, or on-demand program, each attendee requires a separate registration.

We encourage group registrations by offering discounted group pricing for law firms and organizations who wish to register multiple lawyers or staff members for a program. Please contact [email protected] for pricing. To receive discounted group pricing, you must contact us prior to the first registration/purchase from your firm or organization.

Full-Day Programs, Half-Day Programs, and Webinars

Registration Transfers

Registrations may not be shared by more than one person. You may transfer your registration to another person at no extra charge provided notice is received in writing three business days prior to the program. Registrations cannot be transferred after that date; however, program materials and recordings (if any) will be provided.

Cancellations

Registration fees, less a $50 (plus GST) cancellation fee, will be refunded for cancellations received in writing at least three business days prior to the program or webinar. Refunds cannot be given after that date; however, program materials and recordings (if any) will be provided.

Format Transfers

Registrations can be transferred to an alternate program format, where applicable, for a $50 (plus GST) administration fee. Program format transfers are accepted until 9 AM one business day in advance of the program.

Registrations cannot be transferred after that date. Any materials received at the time of transfer must be shipped to the transferee, at the expense of the transferor.

Cancellations

Registration fees, less a $250 (plus GST) cancellation fee, will be refunded for cancellations received in writing at least 10 business days prior to the program start date. Refunds cannot be given after that date.  Any materials received at the time of cancellation must be shipped back, at the expense of the registrant.

Multi-Day Programs

Registration Transfers

Registrations may not be shared by more than one person. You may transfer your registration to another person at no extra charge provided notice is received in writing three business days prior to the program. Registrations cannot be transferred after that date; however, program materials and recordings (if any) will be provided.

Cancellation

Registration fees, less a $250 (plus GST) cancellation fee, will be refunded for cancellations received in writing at least five business days prior to the program start date. Cancellations received after that date will receive a refund of 50% of the registration fees and access to written program materials (if any) provided we are notified prior to the first day of the program. Alternatively, if the program is being recorded, registrants may choose to retain their registration and receive program materials and all recordings from the program. Once the program has begun, we are unable to provide any refunds.

Note that two or more single-day programs that are available as a bundle are considered a multi-day program if purchased as part of the bundle.

Resources

Hard-copy publications in new, unopened condition may be returned within 30 days of purchase for a full refund less a $20 processing fee.

Practice Manual Subscriptions

Titles in LESA’s Practice Manual Series are updated periodically. Subscribers automatically receive updates, invoiced at the time of publication. Update notices are sent at least four weeks prior to the newly released update. You may remove yourself from a subscription list at any time by logging into your account and viewing your “memberships”, emailing us at [email protected], or by calling us at 780.420.1987.
