Are you, or is someone you know, an internationally trained lawyer?

LESA is pleased to host a webinar for internationally trained lawyers with the Alberta Lawyers’ Assistance Society (Assist). If you, or someone you know, is internationally trained and new to the Alberta legal market, this webinar is a must-attend program.

Navigating the Alberta Legal Workplace takes place on August 12th, 2020 from 12:00 PM–1:30 PM. Presented by Jade C.G. Goh, B.A., LL.B. with guest speaker Angad Bedi, this webinar will deliver practical information and explore an overview of law firms, law firm billings, and terminology.

Internationally trained lawyers are presented with a wide range of challenges as they embark on their legal career in Alberta. Attendees will walk away with:

  • an increased ability to respond appropriately to legal workplace situations;
  • a greater understanding of the customs of working in an Alberta law office;
  • an increased knowledge of terminology, which will benefit them in an interview setting as well as within the legal workplace; and
  • best practices for communicating with clients, lawyers, and others within the legal profession.

Registration is now open! Click here to register, and please help us spread the word by directing interested lawyers to LESA.org/itl
