This paper addresses two topics: costs and case management. The first part of the paper provides an overview of costs in civil litigation, including a review of the terminology related to costs, factors considered by the court in awarding costs, and assessment of costs. The second part of the paper provides an overview of case management, including the steps to have a case management judge appointed and removing cases from case management. A sample Bill of Costs and Request Form for Case Management are included.
