This paper provides tips for drafting enduring powers of attorney [EPA] in order to reduce or mitigate elder abuse. It highlights typical EPA clauses to identify the potential for elder abuse, and discusses proactive and preventative measures in EPA drafting that can help protect donors. A sample EPA is included as a precedent.
