This program covers the following topics:
Business Structures | This presentation will provide an overview of different business structures, consider the benefits and risks of each, and discuss who has decision-making authority under each structure.
Minute Books: Getting it Right | This presentation examines the how and why of maintaining corporation’s records and the importance of reviewing a minute book and ensuring it is kept up-to-date. It also explores the events in a corporation’s life where an updated minute book is an asset.
The Art of Due Diligence | This presentation will examine how due diligence is conducted, how to interpret public search results, how to organize due diligence materials and compile due diligence reports, and how to find titles for target lands.
Getting to Close (M&A must-knows) | This presentation will examine asset vs. share sales, closing agendas, common ancillary documents, document execution, and tools to facilitate closings and preparation of closing books.
Transactional LPM Fundamentals | This presentation will provide an overview of legal project management principles and how LPM can be used to improve transactional legal service delivery at any scale.
Relationship Management: Tips & Tricks | This panel discussion will focus on issues that can arise in business relationships and provide strategies to address them, having difficult conversations, psychological safety, and setting appropriate boundaries.
