You may pay for programs by credit card (VISA or Mastercard) during the online registration process or by calling our office at 780.420.1987. Alternatively, and provided you meet the conditions noted above, you may choose to be invoiced and pay by cheque mailed to our office. Cheques must be received within 30 days of registration or one week prior to the program running (whichever is earlier) or your registration may be cancelled. Registrations received within one week of the program date must be paid online at the time of registration by VISA or Mastercard.
You will not receive program materials if payment has not been received.
Program materials are provided in an electronic format and can be accessed via a link emailed to registrants prior to the program.
Program formats and dates are subject to change depending on the COVID-19 restrictions in place at the time of the program running. Attendees will be notified as soon as possible of any change to program format or date. We are committed to ensuring the health and safety of all attendees, volunteers, and staff (and their families) and will follow all provincial and local health requirements and recommendations. We offer discounts for multiple lawyers or staff members from a single firm to attend an in-person, livestream, webinar, or on-demand program. Please contact [email protected] for pricing. To receive discounted group pricing, you must contact us prior to the first registration/purchase from your firm.
LESA offers a distance bursary on select in-person programs for registrants who need to travel long distance in order to attend. If you are travelling between 125 and 249km (one way), please use the code D125 for 10% off* your program registration. If you are travelling 250km or more (one way), please use the code D250 for 25% off* your program registration.
*This coupon cannot be used in conjunction with another coupon code. Distance is calculated from your office address to the program location. Some restrictions apply.
Program registration can be transferred to another person at no extra charge up until the time webinar access information or program materials have been sent to registrants. Registration cannot be transferred once webinar access information or program materials have been sent. Registration cannot be shared by more than one person.
Program Format Transfers
Registrations can be transferred to an alternate program format, where applicable, for a $50 administration fee. Program format transfers are accepted until 9 AM one business day in advance of the program.
Cancellation: Webinars and Livestream Programs
We do not offer refunds on webinars or livestream programs; however, access to recordings and/or program materials (if any) will be provided.
Cancellation: Single or Half-Day In-Person Programs
Registration fees, less a $50 (plus GST) cancellation fee, will be refunded for cancellations received in writing at least five business days prior to the program. Refunds cannot be given after that date; however, program materials (if any) will be provided. Cancellation: Multi-Day In-Person Programs (Except for Intensive Advocacy)
Registration fees, less a $250 (plus GST) cancellation fee, will be refunded for cancellations received in writing at least 10 business days prior to the program start date. Cancellations received after that date will receive a refund of 50% of the registration fees and access to written program materials (if any) provided we are notified prior to the first day of the program. Alternatively, registrants may choose to retain their registration and receive program materials and all video recordings from the program. If the program is not being video recorded, you will receive a 50% refund and access to written program materials (if any) provided we are notified prior to the first day of the program. Please call 780.420.1987 or email [email protected] prior to the program running to ensure the program is being recorded. Once the program has begun, we are unable to provide any refunds. If you need to cancel your registration at any time prior to the program running due to the COVID-19 pandemic, please contact us for options by calling 780.420.1987 or by emailing [email protected].
Note that the Pre-Refresher program is considered a multi-day program if purchased as part of the Refresher bundle.
Cancellation: Intensive Advocacy
Registration fees, less a $250 (plus GST) cancellation fee, will be refunded for cancellations received in writing prior to program materials being shipped. Refunds cannot be given after program materials have been shipped. Please note that materials are sent approximately one month prior to the program start date. Practice Manual Subscriptions
Titles in LESA’s Practice Manual Series are updated periodically. Subscribers automatically receive updates, invoiced at the time of publication. Update notices are sent at least four weeks prior to the newly released update. You may remove yourself from a subscription list at any time by logging into your account and viewing your “memberships”, emailing us at [email protected], or by calling us at 780.420.1987.

LESA reserves the right to remove content from its website. To ensure continual access to your program materials, please download and save PDF(s) to your system at the time of purchase.
If you are a LESA Classroom account holder, purchased on-demand programs (including Webinars on Demand and Seminars on Demand) will automatically be added to the “My Courses” tab on your LESA Classroom account following a purchase. If you are not yet a LESA Classroom account holder, an account will automatically be created for you with the credentials sent to your email address shortly following an on-demand program purchase.
