Through the lenses of their respective practice experiences, the authors explore things to consider when building a family law practice and provide commentary on tools and resources that can be helpful (or not helpful). The paper examines lawyers’ self-awareness, the critical role of building strong client relationships, the need for transparency within the practice and in interactions with clients, and the importance of efficiency in case management and practice operations.
