SKU: 33_69_04

Parenting Coordination is an emerging new alternative dispute resolution process that is becoming more popular in Alberta. This paper sets out what this process involves, how a parenting coordinator may be appointed, how it can benefit family law clients and to which clients it is most beneficial. The paper also outlines how to craft an appropriate Consent Order appointing a parenting coordinator. It includes precedents for a Consent Order and a Parenting Coordination Agreement.

This paper was presented at the Family Law Beyond the Basics program which was held in Edmonton on March 1, 2011 and in Calgary on March 16, 2011.
