Why Property Rights Still Matter

This paper discusses the importance of property rights in Alberta. It identifies a number of foundational principles relating to property rights and reviews three basic elements of fair process with respect to encroachment. It also discusses the role of demographic and cultural realities on property rights advocacy.

This paper is part of a collection presented at LESA’s Rural Property Issues for Alberta Lawyers seminar in Red Deer on June 2, 2017.
