Assignments of commercial leases can be complex transactions involving multiple parties, consent requirements, and careful interpretation of lease terms. This webinar will equip lawyers with a practical understanding of the legal framework governing commercial lease assignments. Topics will include the nature of an assignment, lease obligations, privity of contract, considerations when deciding between an assignment and a sublease, consents to an assignment, and considerations when negotiating an assignment agreement.
