This is the registration page for Personal Injury and Insurance Update (Edmonton). We are also offering this program as a livestream option.
This program will provide an update on personal injury and insurance law, including changes stemming from the Insurance Act amendments that came into force in 2020 and consider how these changes impact the type of injuries included in the general damages cap, the number and role of experts called at trial, and the application of pre-judgment interest on non-pecuniary damages. Topics will include the law of causation in personal injury, the special considerations for the personal injury claim of a minor, and the art of post-COVID questioning and mediation.
