Having a solid foundation of employment law principles and understanding more recent changes in the law is important when advising clients, and within lawyers’ own practices and firms. Explore employment law practice foundations, including:

  • Damages for wrongful dismissal and duty to mitigate
  • Overlap with human rights and intro to duty to accommodate

These on-demand programs are designed for lawyers in their first five years, or for those wanting to revisit the basics. These programs will be of interest to law firms and lawyers acting as employers as well as to lawyers advising clients.

These on-demand programs were originally presented on October 8, 2024. The total running time for each presentation ranges between 54 minutes to 1 hour, 7 minutes.

Firm Broadcast License

A firm broadcast license allows firms or organizations to purchase an on-demand program for viewing as a group at a significantly discounted per person fee. Firm broadcast licenses are purchased by a facilitator who will receive access and is granted permission to broadcast the on-demand program for the pre-selected number of viewers. The facilitator may download and distribute program materials to viewers.

The on-demand program must be viewed by all viewers in the same location and at the same time. Access to the on-demand program (recording(s) and materials) will be available on the facilitator’s LESA.org account for one month after purchase.
