This paper was drawn from materials presented at the Advising Charities and Not-for-Profit Organizations seminar held in February 2012. This paper reviews the new Canada Not-for-Profit Corporations Act that will supersede and ultimately replace Part II of the Canada Corporations Act as the federal legislation governing not-for-profits.
