Join us for a full-day program to review pension law in Alberta, including recent legislative changes. This program will explore the common pension plans in Alberta and how pension plans typically operate, including plan-specific features or nuances. We will consider how actuaries value pension plans, particularly in the context of family law or wills and estates matters.
For those who practice in family law, you may also be interested in a more in-depth analysis of pensions law as it relates to your family law practice. Our upcoming Pensions in Family Law Clinic takes place in May 2022 with options to attend in-person in Edmonton and Calgary or via livestream and will deliver content that builds on what is presented in this program.
