LESA Board Member Receives Arch Award

We proudly congratulate one of LESA’s board members the Honourable Madam Justice Patricia A. Rowbotham, who is the recipient of the 2011 Distinguished Alumni Arch Award. As noted on the University of Calgary website, Patricia is recognized as being a trail-blazer for being the “first grad to clerk at the Supreme Court of Canada, first appointed to the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta and the inaugural graduate turned faculty member of the Faculty of Law where she was a much-loved professor”. She is also credited with helping the faculty of law achieve international recognition in natural resources, energy, and environmental law during the 2000s. Congratulations, Patricia on a well-deserved award!
