Navigating Matters with Self-Represented Litigants (On-Demand)

These on-demand programs cover challenging realities that lawyers face in matters involving parties who are unable or unwilling to hire a lawyer and will offer practical strategies for addressing those challenges. Panel discussions with sitting justices and practitioners from a variety of practice backgrounds will discuss their own past experiences and explore potential experiences that lawyers may face in these types of situations. Presentations address ethical obligations for lawyers, ensuring that lawyers manage the costs for their own clients, navigating the line between advocating for a client and assisting the Court, and more.
