In the world of high-performance sport, developing a strong mindset is essential for performing under pressure. This keynote address will explore the mental skills and strategies used to assist Canada’s best athletes in reaching the top of the podium at the Olympic Games and how you can apply them to your professional and personal life. You will hear examples of achievement, embracing failure, and how to set yourself up for sustained success regardless of the challenge in front of you.
Â
Alex spent 8 years as the mental performance coach for the Canadian Women’s National Soccer Team who won bronze (Rio 2016) and gold (Tokyo 2020) at the Olympic Games. He now works for the Vancouver Canucks and the Vancouver Whitecaps, as well as Canada’s Ski Cross Team. His work consists of fostering winning cultures and training athletes to perform with confidence, intensity, and purpose. Alex is continually pursuing personal and professional growth with a focus on excellence in all areas. He resides in Vancouver, BC.
